Teikyo Post Courses For High School Students
WATERBURY â Teikyo Post University is launching its new high school scholar program, which admits qualified high school students to a variety of credit courses at reduced tuition.
Departmental offerings include the English Language Institute; core courses in English, economics and the social sciences; liberal arts electives; mathematics and sciences; and specific discipline courses such as early childhood education, marketing, and criminal justice.
The program gives high school students the opportunity to begin their college careers early, working with TPU students and professors. Students may choose from 30 courses in 21 departments, taking one course per semester on a space-available basis. They also have access to Teikyo Postâs library and computer facilities.
Required application materials are a Registration Form; a written recommendation of a high school teacher or guidance counselor; and a minimum GPA of 3.0 as shown on the transcript. Day Division courses are offered at a reduced tuition of $325 per 3-4-credit course.
Credits earned in the High School Scholar Program may be used toward Teikyo Post University certificate, associateâs, and bachelorâs degree programs. For information and registration forms, contact TPUâs Office of Admissions at 596-4517.
