Chambers Partnering On Power Networking May 10

The Power Network, a business networking group formed in conjunction with the Newtown and Monroe Chambers of Commerce, is hosting its second speed networking event, sponsored by Charter Business. The event is on May 10 at Victorinox Swiss Army, located at 7 Victoria Drive in Monroe.

Hors d’oeuvres from Mona Lisa Restaurant will be served at 5:30 pm, and networking will begin promptly at 6.

Speed Networking is a networking event with an accelerated twist. The program is specifically designed to allow attendees the quick and entertaining opportunity to introduce themselves and pitch their company to other people in business.

With a unique format, participants of Speed Networking will meet more people, make more contacts, and generate more business ideas in one short evening than they ever thought was possible at a networking event, according to the event planners.

With all participants seated in small groups, the Speed Networking sessions will commence. During each fast-paced session, participants will be able to network face-to-face. After the end of each session, participants will quickly alternate their seating arrangements to pair up with their next networking opportunity.

This process will continue until all participants have interacted with each other.

This is the third time this group is hosting an event of this nature. The networking portion will run from 6 to 9 pm.

One representative from each business is invited and advised to bring plenty of business cards.

The cost to participate is $15 for Newtown/Monroe Chamber members and $20 for nonmembers. Call Jan Snyder at 203-459-9985 to RSVP or to obtain further details.
