Olga A. Rant

Olga A. Rant, 76, wife of the late Joseph H. Rant of Skidmore Lane, Sandy Hook, died May 29 in Danbury Hospital.

Mrs Rant was born in Newtown on November 28, 1928, a daughter of the late John and Anna Valalik. She was a lifelong resident of Sandy Hook. A homemaker, Olga loved flowers, gardening, and cooking.

Mrs Rant is survived by a son, Joseph H. Rant, Jr, of Sandy Hook; two sisters, Jenny Singer of Bethel and Dorothy Cher of Naugatuck; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Mary Gradowich.

Funeral services were held June 1 from the Honan Funeral Home, Newtown, and in St Rose of Lima Church for a Mass of Christian Burial.

Interment followed in St Rose Cemetery.
