The following Newtown and Sandy Hook residents have been named to the Dean’s List at Providence (R.I.) College for the fall 2010 semester: Rachel Fisher, Courtney Fuller, Jennifer Lynn, and Danielle Norris. To qualify for the Dean’s List at the college, students must achieve at least a 3.55 grade point average with a minimum of 12 credits during the semester.

Charles S. Spath of Sandy Hook, a sophomore geology major, was named to the President’s List for the fall semester at SUNY Oswego, N.Y.  The President’s and Deans’ lists represent the academic top 25.9 percent of the Oswego student body, according to the school. Students who achieve grade averages of 3.80 and above on the 4.00 scale are named to the President’s List.

Andrew Nichols, son of Patricia and Craig Nichols, Ann Hull, daughter of Margaret Hull and Jonathan Hull, and Sean Ryan, son of Mary Ann and Ronald Ryan, were named to the Dean’s List at Hamilton College, Clinton, N.Y., for the 2010 fall semester. A student must achieve a grade point average of 90 or above during the term to be placed on the Dean’s List.

Gregory Larnerd of Sandy Hook was named to the Dean’s List for the fall 2010 semester at the State University of New York College at Plattsburgh, N.Y. To be eligible for the Dean’s List, a student must achieve a minimum 3.5 semester grade point average with at least 12 credit hours. A part-time, matriculated student is also eligible for the dean’s list after accruing 12 credit hours consecutively and achieving a minimum 3.5 semester grade point average. These credits may be accumulated in more than one semester.
