Second Company Horse Guard Collects Donations For Operation ELF

The Second Company Governor’s Horse Guard (2GHG) visited the Big Y this past weekend and collected donations for Governor M. Jodi Rell’s Operation ELF (Embracing Lonely Families) program.

Governor Rell and the Connecticut National Guard sponsor Operation ELF to help Connecticut’s military members and their families during the holidays. There was a huge outpouring of support from the community, with toy donations filling several vehicles and phone and gift cards totaling close to $1,000. The gift cards and toys were delivered to the Hartford Armory this week.
