Additional Richter âOliver!â Auditions
DANBURY â Musicals at Richter will hold a second round auditions for several featured adult roles in Oliver!, the third scheduled show of its 2001 summer season, on Sunday, April 22, at 7 pm, at the Masonic Lodge, 337 Main Street (next to the News-Times building). The show will be directed by Sabrina Post and will play weekends, July 26 through August 11.
Roles to fill include Mr Bumble, the workhouse master, who is described as a large, middle-aged, pompous man (tenor); Mr Sowerberry, the undertaker, who is middle-aged, hen-pecked and falsely pleasant (tenor); Mrs Sowerberry, his wife, a selfish, domineering woman (mezzo-soprano); and Mr Brownlow, a kindly old gentleman of wealth and breeding (non-singing role). All those auditioning should be prepared to sing and/or read from the script. Please note these roles are unpaid.
