[The No. 1 Wake Forest men’s soccer team defeated Louisville, 1-0, last Saturday night at Spry Stadium to improve to 5-0-0 on the season. Marcus Tracy (NHS ’05) scored the lone goal in the 78th minute, scoring off a corner kick from Austin da Luz. It was Tracy’s second goal of the season and with his two assists has seven points for the year.

[With losses to Central Connecticut (1-0) and the University of Connecticut (4-1), the Fairfield University women’s soccer team dropped to 2-3-1 on the season. Sophomore striker Casey Frobey (NHS, ’06) has a pair of goals.

[With a 1-0 loss to Drexel on Sunday, the Manhattan College women’s soccer team fell to 1-3-2. Alex Konneker (NHS, ’06) has a goal, scored in a 1-1 double-overtime draw with Fordham University on September 9.

[With his first goal of the season, junior back Brian Miles (NHS ’05) broke a scoreless tie in the second half to give the Montclair State University men’s soccer team a 1-0 victory over Rowan University on September 15. The Red Hawks, the defending New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) champions, improved to 5-0-1. Miles was named NJAC Defensive Player of the Week on Monday while leading a Montclair defense that has yet to allow a goal.

[The Colby-Sawyer women’s tennis team swept doubles play and won five of six singles matches to defeat Commonwealth Coast Conference rival Salve Regina, 8-1, on Sunday afternoon. At third doubles, the tandem of Kate Lucas and Lauren DeFelice (NHS ’07) earned a 9-8 (7) victory over Valerie Leso and Kristen Romano. Colby-Sawyer improved to 5-0, 3-0 in the TCCC.

[With a 2-0 win over Bryn Mawr, the Gettysburg College women’s soccer team improved to 2-4-0 on the year. Tara Gaston (NHS, ’06) has started all six games.

[Brian Conroy (NHS. ‘07) has appeared in three games, registering one shot, for the Gettysburg College men’s soccer team, which improved to 4-3-0 following a 5-0 win over Ursinus.

[Stephanie Logan (NHS ’04) has 53 kills and 14 blocks for the 1-11 Quinnipiac University women’s volleyball team. She also has 27 digs and 11 service aces.

[Marc Doherty (NHS ‘06) saw his first action of the 2007 season for the University of South Florida men’s soccer team in a 6-1 win over American University in front of nearly 800 fans on September 15. The Bulls improved to 5-0-0.

[The United States Coast Guard Academy women’s soccer team snapped a 13-game losing streak with a 3-2 win over Colby-Sawyer on September 16. Freshman Meredith Palo (Canterbury School ’07) notched her first collegiate goal in the 14th minute, putting the USCGA on top, 2-0.

[Offensive left tackle Josh Tenenbaum (NHS ’06) played in the second half of the Bentley College football team’s 48-23 win over American International last weekend. Bentley improved to 1-1 on the season.
