The Post 100/202 American Legion Admirals, comprised of players from Newtown, Bethel, and Redding won their Senior Legion opener Saturday by defeating Masuk-Monroe 9-3. Newtown’s Nick Urso led the charge with a 4-for-4 day including a double, triple and two runs batted in while Bethel’s Adam Geriak also drove in two runs with a single and a double. Sean Trafford pitched six strong innings for the win before Nick Saviano closed it out in the seventh with 3 strikeouts. Tom Coppola had a RBI double for Monroe while Hurbul also contributed an RBI.
