*Well we knew this announcement was coming: After firing her manager and canceling her summer tour due to slow ticket sales (as reported by CNN and many other outlets last week), Mohegan Sun issued a press release this week stating that Clarkson’s concert originally scheduled for August 16 in Uncasville has been… postponed.

Sounds like the arena, or someone, has hopes that this tour will be rescheduled. The press release says the tour “will now take place at later dates in 2007.” Ticketholders should retain their tickets for the moment, says the press release.

*Tickets for another concert at Mohegan Sun will be going on sale this weekend. After a sold-out engagement earlier this year, the Heaven & Hell Tour — the reunion of RONNIE JAMES DIO, TONY IOMMI, GEEZER BUTLER and VINNIE APPICE from BLACK SABBATH — will return on Friday, September 7.  This next show will feature support from ALICE COOPER and QUEENSRŸCHE, although the arena is already cautioning that “supporting acts are subject to change without notice.”

Tickets for this show will be on sale this morning (June 22) at 10 am, priced at $49.50 and $79.50, through TicketMaster vendors. Remaining tickets will also be available at the casino’s box office beginning Saturday morning.

*Turns out GOOD CHARLOTTE will in fact be coming to a venue near us this summer after all.

Last week I was unsure of whether the band would be visiting Connecticut when it joins Justin Timberlake for an arena tour set to begin on Monday, August 6, in Memphis and continuing through a pair of shows in Los Angeles in September. Initially the band’s itinerary did not include Timberlake’s show at Mohegan Sun Arena on August 11, but a publicist for Good Charlotte confirmed last week that the band will indeed be playing an opening set for Timberlake in Uncasville.

Tickets for that show are already on sale, and still available for this show.

Until next week I’ll be seeing you... on the road.
