How long have you been in Newtown? We have been here for four years. We moved from Bridgeport in 2002.
What do you like to do in your free time? I like to read and cook. And I spend a lot of time with my family. We love bowling at the Milford Lanes.
Do you have a favorite author? Stephen King. I love him. And I like John Grisham. I read a lot of New York Times best sellers and Iâm part of the Double Day Book Club, too. Reading is such a great way to just unwind.
Do you have a favorite sports team? The Newtown Soccer U-14 Roadrunners. Those travel girls rule!
Do you have a favorite travel destination? We love Virginia Beach. We go every summer. Six oâclock in the morning, I like to get a cup of coffee, sit out on the balcony, and watch the dolphins.
Who do you most admire? My grandmother. She overcame a lot. She came here from Italy and lived in a tenement in Greenwich. She taught everyone how to sew so that they could make clothes for their families. Family came first for her. She was amazing.
What is the best thing about Newtown? The people. Everyone has been so great to us and we get to meet a lot of people. Everyone is so nice and my kids love it here. The schools are incredible.
Do you have a philosophy? Donât sweat the small stuff. People get upset over the stupidest things. If you have shelter, food, clothing, and family, you donât need anything else.
What do you most cherish? My freedom. I donât take that for granted. And my family, of course.
