A Lunch and Learn Program titled “Care and Feeding of the Grieving Soul” will be held Tuesday, November 21, from noon to 1:30 pm, in the Lodge Room at Lockwood Lodge at Ashlar of Newtown.

Robert Werme, spiritual care coordinator for Connecticut VNA’s Hospice, will discuss why most people, naturally, would prefer to bypass the pain and sadness called “grief.’”

“Most agree that grief is an essential part of the human journey, an experience from which none of us is exempt,” said Mr Werme will explain how “we can prepare, nourish and protect ourselves along this pilgrimage of descent and emerge with zest and joy for living.”

Ashlar of Newtown, 139 Toddy Hill Road, is an affiliate of Masonicare.

Ashlar of Newtown sponsors the Lunch and Learn no fee program, which includes a complimentary lunch served at noon, followed by the presentation at 12:30.

Seating is limited, however, so call 364-3179 to make a reservation.
