For Many Years

Marilyn J. Ruffe, 77, of Sandy Hook, died November 3, in Danbury Hospital, following a long illness. She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., August 2, 1934, a daughter of Letitia C. (Burat) and Joel Ledwell. She was the beloved wife of John M. Ruffe, Jr.

Mrs Ruffe was a resident of Sandy Hook for 24 years, and previously resided on Staten Island, N.Y.

In addition to her husband, survivors include a daughter, Letitia Joy Ledwell of Cape Cod, Mass.; a brother, Dudley Ledwell and a sister, Lorraine Ledwell, both of Roanoke, Va.; and a grandson.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 12, at 1 pm, in the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown. The family will receive friends preceding the service.
