Please Shovel The Sidewalk

To the Editor:

Hello, we are students at Newtown Middle School. During the winter, some of the kids from Hawley and Newtown Middle School walk home. It is hard for us to walk in the street getting splashed by the cars. In fact, we could even get hit by cars!

We sent the following offices on Church Hill Road a note asking them to please shovel their sidewalk – Dr Gellert, Dr Isgut, Dr Moore, Dr Ray, and William Pitt Real Estate – they ignored us. Thank you to Mr Tendler and Mr Nonavaty for shoveling in front of their offices. We had hoped these offices would care more about the safety of the students in Newtown.
