Boys U14

Southbury 2, Strikers 1 – Mike Carrafiello scored the lone Newtown goal off an assist from Mike Terlaga in a loss to Southbury. Liam Ferguson and James Radcliffe played superbly on the wing while Matt Hoffmann, Daniel Hufziger, Christian Gregoire, Russell Morgan and Mike Renz all had good games. Austin Jones and Greg Campbell again played well in defense.

Boys U12

Cobras 3, Brookfield 0 – The Cobras defeated arch rival Brookfield for the second time this season as Connor Quinn, Christian Mather and Danny Bittman led the scoring with a goal apiece. Mather added an assist, as well. Newtown’s defense was unyielding as Pieter Martino, Nick Barreto and Nick Gerbo dominated midfield play while Eric Fiore and Matt Rahtelli fortified the backfield. Sean Elliot and Robert Willis shared keeper duty.

Cobras 4, New Milford 1 – The Cobras captured their second consecutive district title by defeating New Milford. Christian Mather had two goals as Connor Quinn and Richard Greenwood added a goal apiece. In the midfield, Sam Langdon helped control the game while Chris Erikson and Andy Kelley provided key assists. Noah Sock, Steve Conway, Patrick Thornberg and Colin Moller anchored the D.

Boys U11

Beasts 4, New Hartford 0 – Connor Gallagher scored two goals as the Beast finished up the fall season at 6-1-1. Stefan Dullinger and Charlie Helgren also scored. Doug Miller and Dullinger recorded assists as Phil Healy, Adam Hufziger and Matt Baldino were strong on defense. Austin Raftery and Owen Gaston excelled in goal.

Girls U14

Dominators 3, Rage 2 – Jen Van Veen scored twice and Lyndsey Pearlman tallied once to lead the Dominators to the win. Alex Scarpa and Shannon Diorio each played well in goal during the first half and Bianca LeBlanc saved every opportunity as the second half goalie. Keri Chernoff, Jennifer Davies and Sarah Hasselberger were the defensive standouts. For the Rage, Ashley Cirone scored twice, and Amanda Stanton, Molly Sheluck and Claire Bernson provided a strong attack at forward. Ria Mitra, Katie Burns and Claire Miles played well on defense while Quincy de Young and Julie LaPerch had good games at midfield.

Boys U10

Camel Shards 4, Huskies 0 – Matthew Mossbarger scored twice as Daniel Colucci and Connor Roche scored once each to lead the Shards to the win. James Barry did an excellent job as goalie. For the Huskies, Michael Stierle and Joe Perkus played solid defense while Travis Hanna and Michael Alicea led the offense.

Girls U10

Strikers 2, Rockets 0 – Tanner Tardie and Kelsey Muniz each scored and Emma Burns provided a key assist to power the Strikers to the win in the season finale. Michele Zarifis, Kelly O’Connell and Selina Henn had good games, while Emily Sippin and Emily Davis played well in goal. For the Rockets, Hannah Schneiderman played great in goal. Strong performances were also turned in by Jessie Coughlin, Makenzie Casey and Nicole Mendonca.

Girls U8

Wildcats 3, Huskies 1 – Lauren Cirone, Sarah Durr and Eleanor Frost all scored for the Wildcats in the win. Sabrina Elhag, Taylor Pare and Sophia Elhag played great defense. Sydney Flint scored for the Huskies. Riley Smith and Katie Laaksonen played strong in goal and Erin Tressler had a strong all around game.

Happy Hippos 2, Rockets 0 – Megan Doyle and Julia Doyle (assisted by Katerina Ringes) scored to lift the Hippos to the win. Amanda Albanesi and Jamie Calandro played great games on defense.

 

Boys U8

Silver Scorpions 2, Rockets 2 – Jake Oliger recorded a hat trick to account for all the Scorpions’ scoring, with assists from Ryan Marusi, Zachary Hamar and strong play from Michael O’Keefe. For the Rockets, Mark Urso and Zachary Laros each scored a goal. Jack Wellman and Chris Rovelli both played an great offensive/defensive game.
