Medical Town Meeting Looks At Managing Arthritis And Pain

DANBURY — Danbury Hospital will hold a medical town meeting, “Getting A Grip on Arthritis and Managing Pain,” on Tuesday, May 16, from 7 to 8:30 pm at the hospital. The event is free and open to the public.

The program will feature the medical treatment options for arthritis including discussion about the latest medications, pain management, and the physical benefits of exercise.

The presenters will be Dr David Trock, attending physician in the hospital’s department of medicine, and chief of the section of rheumatology; Dr J. Albert Diaz, assistant attending physician in the hospital’s department of surgery, section of orthopedics; Sabeena Ali, an occupational therapist with the inpatient physical rehabilitation unit at the hospital; and Kathy Hood, a registered nurse and clinical director of the hospital’s anesthesiology pain service/surgical services.

Ample time will be provided for audience questions. Prize drawings, giveaways, educational materials, and light refreshments also are available. Medical town meetings are co-sponsored by the hospital and the Danbury office of Physician Services, PC.
