New Hands At The Wheel

REDDING RIDGE — Businessman Richard Brasfield took over control of The Spinning Wheel Inn this month to complete a total reconstruction project that began about a year ago.

According to Robert Butler, the owner of the property, “[Mr Brasfield] is well known to many people in Fairfield County due to his involvement in both the development of the Hay Day chain and also as owner of the upscale La Trattoria Restaurant in West Redding. We are delighted that his considerable experiences will enable The Spinning Wheel Inn to move forward on its next stage of growth.”

Mr Brasfield commented, “After years of working in high quality operations it was an easy career decision to join The Spinning Wheel, a beautiful restaurant of fine reputation and, with only three owners in 70 years, possibly one of the most stable businesses in the state.”

His first project will be the opening of the new Tavern Restaurant next month with a new chef and menu in what was previously the inn’s Hunt Room.
