“Do you have any amusing memories of Thanksgiving?” Senior Center

Dorothy Bresson: “I dropped the peas…yes, they were full.”

Beatrice Piskura: “We had a neighbor we invited and my uncle heaped his plate sky high and my mother always gave him an extra plate and pie. It was a true Thanksgiving gesture.”

Annette Galiano: “I was first married and I forgot the giblets [inside the turkey] I had no idea, it was my first time and I didn’t know they were there.”

Florence DePalma: “The first time I ever had dinner I put the turkey in the oven and when I went back [later] to baste it, I realized the oven wasn’t working. We had invited my cousin and his girlfriend. She was a food editor, took the turkey, cut it up and took it to the grill. We had the best party, and it’s a good thing the grill was going.”

Phil Martino: “It’s been pretty calm. I enjoy the food the next day.”
