Police Plan Holiday Toy Collection

At Shopping Center

Newtown police will conduct a Toys For Tots holiday toy collection project at Sand Hill Plaza on Saturday, December 4.

Police will be collecting donations of new, unwrapped toys for distribution to needy children in the area.

The toy collection is scheduled for 10 am to 2 pm in front of the TJ Maxx store at the plaza at 228 South Main Street (Route 25).

Representatives of The Meat House, a local butcher shop, will provide free $5 gift cards to the first 100 people who donate toys, police said.

The toy collection project is sponsored by the Newtown Police Union and by Coldwell Banker.
