WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Corcoran Gallery of Art will present the exhibition, “Renaissance to Impressionism: Masterpieces of European Arts from the Collection,” opening February 10 and on view through September.

The Corcoran Gallery of Art’s Mantle Room serves as the setting for a salon-style installation of masterpieces of European fine and decorative arts from the Corcoran’s permanent collection. Selections include tapestries, portraits, landscapes, genre paintings, sculptures and decorative arts from French, Dutch, Italian and English artists dating from the Seventeenth through the Nineteenth Centuries.

Featured artists include Eugene Delacroix, Rembrandt van Rijn (attributed), Jean-Simeon Chardin, Jacob van Ruissdael, Sir Joshua Reynolds, Thomas Gainsborough, Hilaire-Germain-Edgar Degas, Honore Daumier and Jean-Baptiste Camille Corot.
