Hunter Pace Is Coming To Town!

October 28 marks the annual Frost on the Pumpkin Hunter Pace, sponsored by the Newtown Bridle Lands Association. Once a year, Newtown becomes a destination for 300 horses as they compete cross country. Greenwich, Bedford and Newtown are the favorites in this series of seven races. Newtown is dedicated to preserving and linking open space such as that used by the Hunter Pace. Thanks to the efforts of our NBLA and Conservation Commission, we look forward to this exciting event for years to come. Fall fox hunting horns may not blow in Newtown any longer, but the tradition continues with the Frost on the Pumpkin hunter pace. Take a ride to Mount Nebo Road on October 28 to watch as some 300 horses take to the countryside.
