Beloved Mother
Helen B. (Bobko) Nolfi, 79, of Bridgeport, died unexpectedly January 21 at St Vincentâs Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport, she was the daughter of John and Helen (Miney) Bobko and was a lifelong area resident. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank E. Nolfi, and two sisters, Mary Marella and Barbara Compton.
She will be greatly missed by her two sons, Michael J. Nolfi of Newtown and Francis S. Nolfi of Colorado; two daughters, Tressa Nolfi of Stratford and Bonita Setters of Alexandria, Va.; ten grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
As a homemaker, Mrs Nolfi cared for her children and was a three-term president of Our Lady of Fatima Ladies Guild of St John Nepomucene Church, secretary of Bridgeport Council of Catholic Women, and was a communicant of St Patrickâs Church.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 26, from Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 1640 Boston Avenue (corner of Ridgefield Avenue), Bridgeport, at 9 am, and in the Church of St Patrick with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am. Calling hours were scheduled for Thursday, January 25, from 4 to 7 pm. Interment will be in St John the Baptist Cemetery, Stratford.
