Luise V. Vrhovec

Luise (Volaj) Vrhovec, 76, of Oxford, the beloved wife of 54 years of the late Ivan John Vrhovec, died on May 27 in her home.

She is survived by her daughter, Ursula Naumann, and her husband, Gunther, of Newtown.

She was born in Holland on January 14, 1924, daughter of the late Frank and Martha Volaj. Mrs Vrhovec was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Oxford. She was a retired employee of Bridgeport Metal Goods of Bridgeport. She moved to Oxford from Trumbull in 1981. She was an avid homemaker and gardener.

She is also survived by another daughter, Renata Cairl of Oxford; two grandchildren, Patricia Rodriguez of Stratford and Peter Naumann of Bridgeport; and two great-grandchildren, Jessica Rodriguez and John Rivera of Stratford.

A memorial service was held on June 1 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, 25 Great Hill Road, Oxford, with the Rev Richard Miesel, pastor, officiating. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
