Doggies Enjoy Fun Zone

Damp weather did not deter the many owners and their dogs from joining in the fun and excitement at the recent Doggie Fun Zone benefit. More than $600 was raised for the Spay & Neuter Association of Newtown and the Danbury Animal Welfare Society.

Joy S. Brewster, owner of the Cassio Pet Resort & Training Center in Newtown, hosted the event. She thanks the many area restaurants, businesses, and individuals that sponsored and donated gift certificates for the fastest timed dogs each day, as well as several general category awards. Many owners and their dogs returned during the event, bringing cameras and the whole family, hoping for a faster run. All sizes and varieties of dogs won prizes for their very proud owners.
