Garner Incident Prompts Inmate Arrest

State police said they charged a former Garner Correctional Institution inmate on a warrant on December 22 in connection with an October 18 incident at the high-security prison at 50 Nunnawauk Road.

State police said they charged Edward Juselis, 53, with second-degree breach of peace due to the exhibition or distribution of sexually explicit material and also with threatening.

Juselis was arrested on a warrant at Danbury Superior Court, after which he was arraigned there.

Juselis, who is now an unsentenced inmate at Northern Correctional Institution in Somers, is scheduled to appear again in court in Danbury on January 12. He has not yet entered pleas to the two charges.

Juselis is being held in Northern on $525,000 bail on various pending charges.
