Jump Start The Economy

To the Editor:

Well boys and girls, the government is at it again; they figure the answer to any problem is to throw lots of money (billions) at the problem that they are responsible for (all started with Barney Frank and Chris Dodd wanting everybody to have a home of their own — even if they could not afford it; who cares if they don’t make enough money to pay the mortgage.)

But wait a minute — what would happen if for a two or three months time the federal government would not collect income tax, or FICA from your parents’ (or your) paychecks? What would your family do with that money? Who cares, right — it’s yours to do as you please.

Well guess what; Congressman Lou Gohmert (Mean Republican from Tyler, Texas) has put up a bill (HR 7309) that says — you the American public should be able to keep your money that the federal government takes (now there’s a novel idea) for at least two months to jump start the economy.

So what does this mean? Is this money better off in your pocket or is it better in the pockets of GM, Ford or Chrysler?

If you agree with the congressman, contact Chris Murphy, Joe Lieberman and Chris Dodd, and get them to sign on the bill. Who knows, maybe they will also know where I can get my government cheese.
