STOP!
In honor of National School Bus Safety Week, the Newtown School Districtâs Director of Transportation Mary Kelly wanted to emphasize the importance of stopping when a bus has itâs flashing red lights on. Mrs Kelly said this law, which is enforced by police with a $450 fine, includes buses that are loading in school parking lots. Mrs Kelly said that failure to obey such signals is the primary threat to the safety of students who use buses as their mode of transportation.
