Roll Out More Fun With Duct Tape III: Popular Program Returning
The Booth Library announces the return of its ever-popular Duct Tape Projects workshop with Katie Stevenson. She will be leading the group in several projects including cellphone or iPod holders. Participants can also get creative making ties, sandals, wallets, purses, sun visors, and accessories.
The program will be held on Wednesday, July 19, from 2 to 4 pm. It is limited to 15 students age 10 and up (rising grades 5 to 12), with preference given to Newtown residents. There is a $6 supply fee, payable at signup.
Ms Stevenson, a teacher, illustrator, painter, sculptor, and designer, held her first ever Duct Tape Workshop in Newtown in 2004, and since then has received requests to lead similar programs at many other libraries. Participants use tape in colors such as cherry red, lavender, yellow, Day-Glo pink and green, and the popular camouflage pattern. Ms Stevenson is bringing another assortment of tapes, trims, and stickers for this yearâs program.
To sign up for the program, visit the Main Floor Circulation Desk at the Booth Library or call 426-4533.
