Light The Night Walks

FAIRFIELD — The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s 3rd Annual Light The Night Walks will be_held on September 20 at Stamford’s Cove Island Park and September 21 at Fairfield Beach, Penfield Pavilion I.

Designed to raise funds to cure leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, and Hodgkin’s disease, and also to commemorate all lives touched by these and other cancers, the two-mile twilight walk is a poignant and visually breathtaking event.

Walks kick off at 7:15 pm at both locations with registration beginning at 6 pm.  Participants are asked to raise or donate a minimum of $25 to carry an illuminated balloon. Walk-ins are also welcome._ Event festivities will include a deejay, Vanilla Swirl the clown, the gospel group Sister Queenie and the Re-Entry Ministry, food, and fun for all.
