Vintage Textiles Event Promises Easter Bonnets To Prom Attire & Beyond

DANBURY — Organizers of the 6th Annual Vintage Clothing, Accessories, Textiles and Jewelry Show and Sale promise there is no better place to find everything from Easter bonnets to prom attire and beyond Saturday and Sunday, April 9-10. The show will run from 10 am to 5 pm each day, at The Police Athletic League Building, 25 Hayestown Road.

Admission is $7, free for age 12 and under.

The show is expected to be the largest it has ever been with most dealers returning and several doing it for the first time. New dealers will include Vintage Gems of Pawling, N.Y., with vintage costume and sterling jewelry, evening bags, belts, hats, clothing and accessories; Patrice of Darien, with vintage clothing from the 1920s-60’s including dresses and suits, plus textiles, lace, ribbon and trim from all over the world plus jewelry including Bakelite.

After a short hiatus, JFS Associates, from Harrisburg, Penn., have returned, bringing silver, Southwestern, costume, Victorian, plastic and gold jewelry; and Antique Wardrobe, of Southbridge, Mass.,  will offer Victorian and Edwardian through the 1950s clothing.

Returning dealers also include What Was is Vintage, of Merrick, N.Y., with vintage clothing and costume jewelry; museum quality Victorian gowns will be offered in the booth of Back in Time Antiques, of Mahopac, N.Y.

Participating vendors are coming in from New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, including Cherished Treasures of Newtown.

In addition to vintage clothing, textiles and jewelry, some of the other items available will include dressing table accessories, buttons, millinery flowers, beads, lingerie, fashion art and all things related.
