Nighthawk Athletes Take Home All State & Conference Honors
Several Newtown High School athletes garnered All South-West Conference and All State accolades for their performances this past winter.
All SWC honorees are as follows:
Boysâ track â first team: Â Peter Kerns, Brendan Capaldo, Trevor Carey, Jimmy Mooney, Jake Feinstein, Palmer Lintz, Pat Sullivan, and Dieter Gutbrod; honorable mention: Jimmy Leidlein, Chris Arnone, Rob Russo, and Hunter Bassett.
Girlsâ track â first team: Amy Anyoha and Lauren OâConnell; second team: Melissa Buccino and Reagan Cerney; honorable mention: MacKenzie Lapp and Briana Hart.
Gymnastics â first team: Leah Wallace; second team: Elisha Wilson.
Wrestling â first team: Cory Fisher; second team: Mac Morlock, Nick Crudo, and Matt Gonzalez; honorable mention: Pat Zingaro, Jame Leuci, and Luca Crudo.
