Boston Terrier Club Dog Show This Weekend

The Boston Terrier Club of Connecticut will put on its annual two-day Dog Show at the Crowne Plaza, 1284 Strongtown Road in Southbury on Saturday, March 17 and Sunday, March 18. Admission is free. Judging begins at 10 am and concludes around 3 pm both days.

This is an American Kennel Club-sanctioned event in which dogs earn points toward a championship and grand championship. The dogs then compete for best in show. Dogs must be registered in advance to compete.

Although dogs may not be sold at the show, it is an opportunity for prospective owners to speak with people who love the breed.

At 12:30 pm on Saturday, there will be a Parade of Rescued Dogs – featuring Boston Terriers which, for a variety of reasons, have had to find a new home. At 2:30 pm on Sunday, the Parade of Champions will be held. This is an excellent opportunity to view and meet the best of the best Boston Terriers.

In addition to the show ring, there will be vendors offering a wide array of dog-related items, as well as a photographer. There will be silent and tea cup auctions each day.

For more information, contact Alice Saxton at 203-426-7728 or 203-304-3383 or via email at asaxton@taunton.com before and after show hours.
