Clare Kruel, 81, of Florida died January 25. Mrs Kruel was born October 15, 1927, in New Milford, daughter of James Henry and Esther C. (Carlson) Bailey.
Survivors include her son, Francis P. Kruel, Jr, and his wife, Sarah T., of Sandy Hook.
She had been employed as an assistant accountant at United Liquors of Boston, which she left to assist her husband with their business, Century Aluminum Products. After retiring, the Kruels moved to Boynton Beach, Fla., where she became active in AARP, Eastern Star, was a member and officer of St Josephâs Church, and a volunteer tax aide for a number of years.
Services will be held Monday, February 9, at 11 am, at the Church of the Epiphany, Southbury. Burial is in Wooster Cemetery, Danbury.
