Loving Mother

Dorothy Thompson Palmer, 89, of Norwalk, died peacefully at her home, November 2. She was born May 15, 1922, in St Joseph, Mo., the daughter of Marie and Nate Thompson.

Survivors include her husband, Leonard T. Palmer; five children, including Linda Gaita of Newtown; 13 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Dale Johnson, and a brother.

A sports enthusiast, Mrs Palmer loved watching the New York Yankees and the UConn men’s and women’s basketball teams. She also enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles, and spending time with her family.

Funeral services took place November 7, with interment in Willowbrook Cemetery, Westport.
