In an effort to help foster business opportunities in the greater Newtown area, Newtown Chamber of Commerce continues to host free monthly networking events open to all local business professionals.

The next event will be held at Sal e Pepe Contemporary Italian Bistro, 97 South Main Street, on Wednesday, November 11, from 8 to 9 am. The guest speaker is Alyssa Amaturo of the American Cancer Society.

Ms Amaturo’s presentation, titled “Paint Your World Purple,” will discuss the role of the American Cancer Society within the local community and how to get involved with Newtown’s Relay For Life.

Ms Amaturo is a community manager with the American Cancer Society, and has had previous experience as an events manager and general manager of high class restaurants along. She currently manages Relay For Life events for Newtown, New Fairfield, Bethel, Brookfield, Danbury, Redding, and WestConn.

Light refreshments will be served. There is no charge to attend, and reservations are not necessary.

Breakfast networking sessions sponsored by Newtown Chamber of Commerce are held the second Wednesday of each month. Those interested in guest speaking can contact Tricia Farin at 203-426-9193.
