The Newtown Torpedoes made it two in a row last Saturday when they defeated New Milford, 313-204, in age group swimming action.

The Torpedoes had claimed their first win of the 2000-01 season back on Saturday, January 26, with a victory over Naugatuck and then on Saturday put their modest winning streak at two meets with the win over New Milford.

Double winners were Lucy Remitz, Emma Atkinson and Lisa Isabella (girls’ 9 and 10 division); Abby Atkinson and Maggie Hemingway (girls’ 11 and 12); Amy Robinson (girls’ 13 and over); Luke Fiore and Conor Deveney (boys’ 8 and under); Stefan Toi (boys’ 9 and 10); and Jake Maher and Andrew Heller (boys’ 13 and over).
