Occupation: I am an at-home mom and class parent to both of my children, one at Fraser Woods and one at Head OâMeadow. I am also co-director of the 5K Newtown Road Race that is coming up September 2 to benefit Newtown Youth Services. My focus is on the sponsorship and promotions for the race.

How long have you been in Newtown? A little over a year. We were in Chicago before that.
What do you do in your free time? I love yoga and I do a lot of golfing. I have a group on Mondays that I hike with all over Newtown and Sandy Hook. I enjoy reading and music.
What are you reading now? Right now, Iâm reading The Five Love Languages. Itâs an interesting book about how you and your loved ones can communicate better. I also enjoy autobiographies. You can put yourself in someone elseâs shoes and you can learn about history.
Who is your favorite musical artist? I really enjoy Dave Matthews. For classical, I like Mozart. You hear his music and you just become entranced by it.
Where would you go if you could go anywhere in the world? I would go to the Galapagos Islands and swim with the loggerhead turtles. That would be my dream vacation. Anywhere my husband and kids and I can walk the beach and soak up the sun.
If you could spend a day with any famous person, who would it be? The first person who comes to mind is Madeleine Albright. She played such a good role model for women. When I was growing up in Washington, D.C., she was one of the only women in the cabinet and I think that really made an impression on me. She did so many things with her life and did them well.
What is the best thing about Newtown? The people. Iâve never lived in a town this small. You can go to the local store and run into people you know. Itâs a fun-spirited, family-oriented town to live in. Thatâs why I volunteer.
Do you have a personal philosophy? I try to keep it simple. Love one another. Thatâs kind of my all-encompassing philosophy. Day to day, I try to be stress-free. It is what it is.
Where would you like to be in 20 years? I see my husband and me holding hands and walking down a beach. Either that, or weâll be out on a golf course. Maybe Iâll be in the Galapagos Islands.
