BI Donates To Pharmacy School

Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals, Inc, has given $250,000 to the University of Connecticut’s School of Pharmacy. This is the largest single gift ever received by the school as part of Campaign UConn. The money will be used for the Dosage Forms Laboratory Suite in the new Pharmacy/Biology Building, currently under construction on the Storrs campus.

The Dosage Forms Laboratory Suite, a state-of-the-art facility, will serve instructional and research needs in the areas of drug formulation, manufacturing, and quality assessment. As many as 30 students at a time will be able to use the facility.

Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals is based in Ridgefield and is a member of the Boehringer Ingelheim group of companies headquartered in Germany.
