Karen E. Randolph, 58, of New Milford, died July 4, at the University of Connecticut Medical Center, Farmington, after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Bridgeport July 6, 1952, and was a daughter of Curtis W. McKay, Sr, of Newtown and the late Clarice (Soucy) McKay.
Ms Randolph was raised in Newtown and was a graduate of Newtown High School, Class of 1971. She was the wife of Daniel I. Randolph.
She was employed as a pharmacy technician and last worked for Walmart. More recently, Ms Randolph was part-time caregiver to her granddaughters.
She will be remembered as being very outgoing, and she was well respected by her family and friends.
In addition to her husband and her father, Ms Randolph is survived by her four children; a brother, Curtis W. McKay, Jr, of Newtown; ten grandchildren and one to be born this coming October.
Friends may call in the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown, Friday, July 8, from 5 to 8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St Rose of Lima Church, Newtown, Saturday July 9, at 11:30 am. Interment will follow in Wooster Cemetery, Danbury.
