NHS Incident
Police report that school officials called for aid from the police departmentâs school resource officer about 12:45 pm on November 10, after a student had been using profanities and acting violently toward school staff.
Police said that after being warned to calm down, the student continued the negative behavior.
Police said they charged the youth with second-degree breach of peace. Police released the youth on a written promise to appear in court on November 28.
Because the person arrested is under age 18, the studentâs identity is shielded from public disclosure by state law.
Saturn Into Rails
Police report that motorist Jonathan Hull, 17, of 6 Old Castle Drive was driving a 1992 Saturn sedan southward near 42 Huntingtown Road about 3 pm November 11 and then encountered a landscaping truck on the road, which Hull then swerved to avoid.
But in making that maneuver, the Saturn struck some guardrailing alongside the road, police said. There were no injuries. Hull received a written warning for failure to drive to the right, police said.
Noisy Vehicle
About 12:55 am on November 9, police received a complaint concerning a suspicious vehicle on Miya Lane. Miya Lane is a residential dead-end street that extends from the intersection of Cherry Street and Pine Street in Sandy Hook.
Police said they located the vehicle in question and investigated, after which they charged motorist Cortney Troccolla, 24, of 155 Alpine Drive with creating excessive or unusual noise with a motor vehicle and with driving with a suspended license.
Police said they released Troccolla on $50 bail for a November 23 court appearance.
