To the Editor:

 On Election Day I will be joining many of our fellow residents in voting for Jim Gaston for selectman.

 Jim has been an honest and effective leader both on the Board of Burgesses and as warden of the borough, and as an advocate on the Board of Finance for both fiscal responsibility and excellence in education. His accomplishments in the areas of preserving the sugar maples on Main Street from open trenching for the sewer line, the establishment of the Historic District, and the establishment of the Health District are significant achievements.

 Jim has also taken a strong stand in support of the owner-operator school bus drivers. He pledges to work vigorously to restore the O-Os and avoid what may be a $4 million liability in this situation.

A vote for Jim Gaston is the right choice on November 8.
