Three Violations
Police report they stopped motorist Christopher Prodoti, 30, of Bethel at about 6:41 am December 15 on Hattertown Road, near its intersection with Dodgingtown Road, to investigate.
Police said they charged Prodoti with traveling too fast, driving an unregistered vehicle, and driving without automotive insurance.
Police released Prodoti on $100 bail for an upcoming appearance in Danbury Superior Court.
DUI Arrest
About 12:22 am December 16, police received a call reporting that a motorist was driving erratically in the area of Mt Pleasant Road and Tory Lane.
Police said they located the vehicle in question on Main Street and stopped it to investigate, after which they charged motorist Kelly Okrepkie, 31, of Trumbull with driving under the influence.
Following processing, police released Okrepkie on $100 bail for a January 5 court appearance.
Window Damage
Police report that sometime between 3:30 pm on December 10, and 8:30 am on December 11, someone shot BBs from a BB-gun to damage some windows at Kingâs Breakfast and Lunch Restaurant at 271 South Main Street. Police are investigating the case of second-degree criminal mischief and ask anyone with information on the crime to contact Officer John McCluskey at 203-426-5841.
Into A Ditch
Police said Jonathan Kochiss, 22, of Woodbury was driving a 1997 Dodge Ram pickup truck southward near 99 South Main Street about 6 am December 13, when the truck traveled across a the northbound lane and entered a ditch along the northbound road shoulder.
Kochiss was not injured. Police said Kochiss told them that he had fallen asleep at the wheel because he had been awake for a long period.
Police charged Kochiss with reckless driving and released him on a written promise to appear in court on December 23.
Scion Vs Toyota
About 3 pm December 11, motorist Oscar Quiroz, 16, of 34 Forest Drive, who was driving a 2002 Toyota 4-Runner SUV eastward near 28 Church Hill Road, stopped for traffic conditions, after which the Toyota was struck from behind by eastbound motorist Nathaniel Durgin, 31, of Danbury, who was driving a 2005 Scion hatchback, police report.
There were no injuries. Police issued Durgin an infraction for failure to drive a reasonable distance apart.
Icy Conditions
Police report a two-vehicle collision during icy conditions about noon December 13 near 184 Pleasant Road.
The accident involved motorist Christine McCormick, 56, of 105 Brushy Hill Road, who was driving a 2003 Dodge Dakota pickup truck, and motorist Erica Keane, 29, of 8 Underhill Road, who was driving a 2009 Nissan Rogue SUV, police said.
Both Erica Keane and Nissan passenger Christopher Keane, 30, of the same address, were transported to Danbury Hospital for treatment, police said. Police said they gave McCormick a written warning for traveling too fast for conditions.
Mower Missing
Sometime between 3 pm on November 28, and 11 pm on December 4, someone broke a lock off a rear shed at a Mt Pleasant Road address near the Bethel town line and then stole an orange-colored lawnmower which has a 22-inch-long cutting blade, according to police. Police ask anyone with information on the sixth-degree larceny to contact Officer John McCluskey at the police station.
Mailbox Mischief
According to a police report, sometime between 11:30 pm on December 11, and 11:15 am on December 12, someone pulled a curbside residential mailbox out of the ground at a Marlin Road home. Officer John McCluskey asks anyone with knowledge of the third-degree criminal mischief to contact him at the police station at 203-426-5841.
Raised Crosswalk
About 10:30 am on December 6, motorist Melissa Sorrentino, 35, of 4 Surrey Trail, who was driving a 2006 Toyota 4-Runner SUV southward on Queen Street near Newtown Middle School, slowed the vehicle before driving over a raised crosswalk there, police said.
Southbound motorist Caryl Timmel, 60, of 67 Riverside Road, who was driving a 1997 BMW 318-TI coupe behind the Toyota, then braked to avoid colliding with the Toyota, police said. The BMW then turned to the right, went off the road and struck a street sign, after which the BMW struck the Toyota from behind, police said.
There were no injuries. Police said Timmel received an infraction for following too closely.
Jeep Vs Ford
A two-vehicle collision occurred on Kay Lane, near its intersection with South Main Street, about 2:11 pm December 12, police said.
Motorist Brittany Williams, 19, of 10 Washbrook Road was driving a 1998 Ford Windstar minivan eastward on Kay Lane, police said. At that time, motorist Wayne Oliver, 62, of 4 Rowledge Pond Road, who was driving a 2005 Jeep Wrangler, was exiting a commercial driveway and entering Kay Lane, resulting in a collision with the Ford, police report.
There were no injuries. Police said they issued Oliver a written warning for failure to grant the right of way.
Tractor-Trailer
Motorist Janice Bernard, 64, of 1 Settlers Lane, who was driving a 2009 Hyundai Sonata sedan southward on South Main Street about 12:11 pm December 14, stopped and was waiting for northbound traffic to clear so that she could make a left turn into the driveway at 151 South Main Street, police said.
Southbound tractor-trailer truck driver Joshua McSherry, 23, of Washington, Conn., then attempted to pass the stopped Hyundai on the right, but the truckâs trailer knocked the Hyundaiâs right exterior rear-view mirror off the sedan, police said.
There were no injuries. Police issued McSherry a written warning for illegal passing on the right.
GMC Hits Lexus
About 1:50 pm December 12, a 2007 Lexus IS-250 sedan driven by Diane Larsen, 23, of Monroe stopped at a stop sign on Currituck Road at its intersection with Obtuse Road, police said.
A 2002 GMC Yukon SUV driven Michael Garrity, 55, of 8 Stony Brook Road, then stopped behind the Lexus, police said.
The GMC then struck the rear end of the Lexus, according to police. There were no injuries. Police issued Garrity a written warning for following too closely.

Icy Roadway
Police report a two-vehicle accident on Mile Hill Road during icy road conditions about noon on December 13.
 Due to hazardous driving conditions, motorist Delphine Geraci, 38, of Shelton, who was driving a 2004 Honda Element, pulled off the roadway, after which the Honda was struck by motorist Michael Bialobzeski, 19, of Enfield, who was driving a 1998 Ford Explorer, police said.
There were no injuries. Police took no enforcement.
