The show is open to age 21 and over.
Also coming up at the Danbury club is an all ages show on June 4 by ADDISON GROOVE PROJECT, with all tickets $10.
Tuxedoâs website also mentions shows on July 2 by BLUE OYSTER CULT and then on July 6 by âmembers of THE JERRY GARCIA BAND.â No details yet.
*Six concerts have their tickets going on sale this weekend, including three shows that are going on sale this morning (Friday, May 30). Apologies for the late notices on these three shows, too â announcements of the shows and their on-sales only came out Tuesday morning.
With the first leg of its full-production US headlining concert tour already sold out, THE BLUE MAN GROUP has announced a second leg of dates to support its recently released album, The Complex. This new leg of tour dates will focus on amphitheaters, including Wallingfordâs Oakdale Theatre on Sunday, July 13.
The new album features guest collaborations with Dave Matthews, Tracy Bonham, Dan the Automator, Esthero, and Josh Haden, among others. The spring and summer dates â including the Connecticut stop â will feature opening sets by BONHAM and Venum Hum, both of whom will also be joining Blue Man Group onstage for its performance.
Tickets for the Oakdale show will be going on sale Friday at 10 am, priced at $25, $35 and $45. Tickets can be purchased in person at the Oakdaleâs box office (see wristband lottery details below), online at tickets.com, or over the phone from the Oakdaleâs box office, 203-265-1501.
Also going on sale Friday at 10 will be tickets for THE BEACH BOYS with special guest DION, on Thursday, July 31, at the careerbuilder.com Oakdale Theater. Prices are $35, $45 and $55 for these tickets, available through the same options as outlined above for Blue Man Group.
(By the way The Beach Boys will also be playing Foxwoods Casinoâs Fox Theatre this summer. Tickets go on sale June 25 for an August 5 show up in Ledyard.)
Also at 10 am will be the onsale for STEELY DAN, also at the Oakdale, on Wednesday, September 10. Tickets for this show are $59.50, $79.50, $89.50 and $99.50. Tickets are available through the same outlets described above, and the wristband lotteries will also be the same.
On Saturday at 10 am, tickets for a Tuesday, July 22 IRON MAIDEN show at the Meadows in Hartford will be going on sale. A reminder for you that the box office at the Meadows has not yet opened for the season so in-person purchases need to be done at the Oakdale box office in Wallingford.
Ticket prices for this show, which will include opening sets by DIO and MOTORHEAD, are $25 for the lawn, $35, $45 and $55 for reserved pavilion seats.
These first four shows have wristband lotteries, with wristband distribution at 8 am and lottery drawings at 9:30 both Friday and Saturday.
TicketMaster outlets will also be welcoming fans of B2K, Marques Houston, and Mario and Nick Cannon, who announced this week that they will headline this summerâs Scream III Tour. The tour kicks off July 2 at San Diego County Fair and will hit more than 30 cities â including Hartford on Sunday, August 3 â before wrapping on August 31 in Cleveland.
Tickets for the Hartford stop are priced at $35.75 and $43.75, including the $1.75 CT State surcharge, and will be available at all TicketMaster outlets on Saturday beginning at 10 am including Fileneâs, over the phone at 860-525-4500 or 203-624-0033, or online at TicketMaster.com. The civic centerâs box office will not be open on Saturday for Scream III tickets. It will reopen on Monday, June 2, if seats remain for this show.
And finally on Monday, tickets for the third (and final perhaps?) visit by CHER on her Living Proof â Farewell Tour 2003 in Connecticut will be going on sale. One of musicâs original divas will be at Hartford Civic Center on Wednesday, July 16. Tickets for that show are $37, $57, $77 and $97 apiece, with a $1.75 CT State surcharge and a 25¢ charity donation included.
The civic centerâs box office will not be open on Monday for first-day Cher sales but will reopen on Tuesday, June 3 if tickets are still available. (Tickets for any other civic center event, including Scream III, will be available June 2.)
*Also going on sale, next week, are tickets for BENATAR AND GIRALDO, as in the rock singer Pat and husband Neil, who will be at Foxwoods Casinoâs Fox Theatre on Monday, July 7. Tickets are $38.50 and $49.50, and will be available through the casinoâs box office beginning Thursday, June 5, at 8 am (thatâs four days before my birthday for anyone keeping track); call 800-200-2882 to order.
Opening duties will be handled by Green Vinyl Dream, the Los Angeles-based band currently enjoying success with the single âKaleidoscope.â
Until next week Iâll be seeing you⦠on the road.
