BURLINGTON ââ Two family programs will be offered by the Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) Wildlife Division at the Sessions Woods Conservation Education Center.
On Tuesday, July 29, at 9:30 am, children and accompanying adults are welcome to join Natural Resource Educator Laura Rogers-Castro on an interpretive walk to a beaver marsh at the Sessions Woods Wildlife Management Area. Stops will be made along the 1.5-mile, round-trip walk to talk about wildlife habitat.
On Saturday, August 2, at 10 am, an âInsect Searchâ will be held at Sessions Woods. Ms Rogers-Castro will lead a field excursion into the world of insects at Sessions Woods. Participants will discover the amazing diversity of insects and how they provide the primary food source for much of Connecticutâs wildlife. BYOB (Bring Your Own Bug) for a preprogram discussion.
Preregistration is required for both events, which will begin in front of the Conservation Education Center. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Contact Ms Rogers-Castro at 860-675-8130 to register or for more information.
