Helen E. Mahoney

Helen E. Mahoney, 89, of Ashlar of Newtown, previously of Danbury, died at Danbury Hospital April 6. She was born in Bridgeport, April 12, 1917, daughter of John F. and Ethel (Merritt) Mahoney.

Ms Mahoney attended Central High School in Bridgeport and had lived in Danbury and Newtown.

She is survived by two sisters, Frances Weston of Fairfield and Katherine Rappeline of Bridgeport; a brother, John Mahoney of Florida; a half-brother, Stephan Mahoney of Fairfield; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Larry Lyman, and a brother, William Mahoney.

 A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated in St Peter Church, Danbury, April 10. Burial was in St Michael’s Cemetery, Stratford.
