James Thomas Buonaiuto
James “Jimmy” Thomas Buonaiuto, 69, a resident of Kings Mountain, N.C., for the past 18 years, and formerly of Newtown, died November 17 at Courtland Terrace, Gastonia, N.C., after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Milford, September 25, 1944, to Anthony and Florence Minikel Buonaiuto.
Mr Buonaiuto was a graduate of Newtown High School, and served in the United States Navy.
He was a retired courier for Gaston Memorial Hospital, Gastonia.
He loved golfing, carpentry, and collecting model cars. His family remembers him as a wonderful human being and a hard worker, who was well liked by all who knew him.
His wife of 25 years, Patty; two daughters, Sandy Rebo, and husband Joe, of Danbury and Cassandra Buonaiuto of Kings Mountain; five siblings and spouses, Frank and Joyce Buonaiuto, John and Janet Buonaiuto, Eileen and Dennis Michaels, Denise Buonaiuto and Michael Derieux, and Florence Lyman; many nieces and nephews; and a best friend, “Skyler,” survive Mr Buonaiuto.
There will be a memorial service to honor and celebrate his life in the spring, at Resurrection Cemetery in Newtown.
