To the Editor:

I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the superintendent of Newtown Public Schools, Dr Rodrigue, because of her amazing personality, her knowledge, her kindness, and her fairness.

Thank you so much for listening and helping me with the situation I had with Reed School.

Dr Rodrigue, you are our children’s voices, and they need you to protect them from occasional unfair staff’s judgments. I want to say a big thank you for your modesty and your big heart. As a mother, I owe you my son’s peace. Thank you for having me, talking to me, and listening to me. I really appreciate your leadership, which I have never, ever seen in other offices and in people with even lower positions than yours.

As a parent, as a mother, as a person with English as my second language, and also as an American citizen who still some school staff treats me as a foreigner, I want to thank you for your support, compassion, and flexibility.
