A Holiday Reminder

Lieutenant Benjamin Chamblé, commanding officer of the state police Troop A barracks, reminds motorists they should be cautious while driving in heavy traffic during the Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s periods.

Lt Chamblé urges motorists to use their seat belts, obey posted speed limits, and to never drink alcohol and drive.

During the holiday periods, state police will conduct their Holiday Safe Driving Campaign, involving heightened enforcement of drunken driving laws, as well as stepped-up enforcement of speed laws, plus close monitoring of the public’s use of seat belts and child safety seats.
