Paul John Carroll

Paul John Carroll, 57, beloved husband of Sharon (Denzel) Carroll of Newtown, died suddenly November 10. He was born in Bridgeport on November 9, 1949, a son of Robert and Jeanne (Nolan) Carroll.

Mr Carroll was a resident of Newtown for more than 40 years and graduated from Newtown High School, Class of 1968. He was a member of St Rose of Lima Parish. He was a US Army veteran serving during the Vietnam era with the MP Brigade. Mr Carroll enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially with his boys at his side.

In addition to his wife, survivors include two sons, Nicholas and Robert; and stepchildren, Christina, Devon, and C.J.; 12 brothers and sisters and their spouses, Patrick and Susan Carroll, Phillip and Kathleen Carroll, and Robert Carroll of Newtown, JoAnne and Richard Chontos, Mary and Craig Wilgus, and Joseph and Elizabeth Carroll of Tenants Harbor, Maine, Cathy and Dan Boudreau of Trumbull, Charles and Charlotte Carroll of San Diego, Calif., Arthur Carroll of Hartford, Andrew and Paula Carroll of Waterbury, Margaret Carroll of Uncasville, and Michele and Jean Yves DeLisle of New Knoxville, Ohio; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to his parents, a son, P.J., predeceased Mr Carroll.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated November 15 in St Rose of Lima Church. Interment with military honors followed in St Rose Cemetery.
