Family Fun Day Celebration For Community Cancer Survivors & Families
DANBURY — On Saturday, June 29, the Connecticut Chapter of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and Danbury Moose Lodge No. 1373 will host the second annual Family Fun Day Celebration for Community Cancer Survivors and their families.
The event will take place at the Danbury Moose Family Center, 75 Boulevard Drive, Danbury.
There will be carnival themed games, food, live entertainment, children’s activities, swimming and raffles. Over 250 guests and volunteers are expected for the special event.
The event will run from 1 to 5 pm.
There is a suggested donation of $5 per person, or $15 for families of four. Cancer survivors and children under 5 years old are admitted free.
The goal is to raise $5,000 to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease, and myeloma and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
