Immaculate High School Celebrates 40th Anniversary
DANBURY â Immaculate High School celebrated its 40th Anniversary March 22, with a Mass celebrated by Bishop William E. Lori at St Peterâs Church in Danbury and a banquet with 370 guests at the Inn at Ethan Allen. The gathering to honor the anniversary was the largest of its kind in the schoolâs history.
âWe have much to celebrate,â Immaculate Principal Joseph Gerics told the guests. âGod has blessed Immaculate High School with generous friends, dedicated teachers, committed alumni, hard-working parents, and talented students. Over the past four decades, our students have established our schoolâs reputation for spiritual formation and academic excellence and over 6,000 men and women have graduated from our school and have contributed to our community as business and civic leaders.â
âImmaculate High School provides a great experience â quality academics, winning athletic programs, and many students activities,â said Mary Raymond, who teaches Chorus at the school, and is a member of the Class of â77 as well as a parent of a current student. âDrawing students from many towns, Immaculate High School has a diverse student body. We developed friendships that still continue 25 years later.â
